I just want to be outside with my dogs or in the water- both, preferably. I’m an avid reader, lover of the outdoors, child of Seuss, follower of Vonnegut, and writer on occasion. My alternate reality is a Maxfield Parrish painting, I’m fascinated by behavioral psychology, I hate hyperreligiosity, and I live by my own set of Foma.

“I keep picturing all these little kids playing some game in this big field of rye and all. Thousands of little kids, and nobody’s around – nobody big, I mean – except me. And I’m standing on the edge of some crazy cliff. What I have to do, I have to catch everybody if they start to go over the cliff – I mean if they’re running and they don’t look where they’re going I have to come out from somewhere and catch them. That’s all I do all day. I’d just be the catcher in the rye and all. I know it’s crazy, but that’s the only thing I’d really like to be.”

The Catcher in the Rye

“No wonder kids grow up crazy. Little kids look and look at all those X’s- and no damn cat, no damn cradle.”
-Kurt Vonnegut

I just read the story of Ceaser and I am so thankful there are people like you out there! You are an inspiration! I am going to keep my eye out for your blog so I can see his recovery and his placement into a wonderful home. Blessings to you.

Jamie you are a gifted writer. Even though I know the story, it was wonderful getting to read and see the photos to document this journey.

You two have been used to save Cesar but I think the Lord will use him to heal many hearts.

I love you and love what you are willing to sacrifice in order to have him as part of your “family”.
