I spend more time reading the comments that idiot citizens make on our local news reports than I do actually reading the news.
I’ve decided it might be psychologically healthier for me to find a way to vent my frustration with such imbecilic ignoramuses rather than to let my annoyance boil inside me.
Also– these people are making public mockeries of themselves; they obviously want to flaunt their idiocy, so I’ve decided that I’m going to help them do so.
From now on, each time I find a comment that evidences the writer’s ignorance, total disregard for grammar, any ounce of racism, and/or any other flagrant display of stupidity, I’m simply going to copy and paste it into this section of my blog for any curious readers to be able to get a feel for the intelligence level of the most opinionated citizens in my beloved little valley.
Any names, nicknames, or self appointed labels the writers have given themselves will be copy and pasted here too. Mom always said, “Fools’ names and fools’ faces always end up in public places.”
Well, fools- let me introduce you to your newest public place: “The Best and Brightest: Bryan/College Station Edition.”

how ya know he he was having sex with her asleep she might have been awake the whole time enjoying it but after it happen she hollers rape…i have seen to many guys in jail cause they holler rape after wards ….you just can’t go having sex with some body laying there if she did not want it she could have move or push him away …
Oh, but here’s a really witty guy- He just posts “NBA” as a comment for anything he disapproves of that ends up in the news. It stands for “Normal Bryan Activity” — (which he’s sure to explain somewhere in each post.) Racial slurs are definitely welcome here in the fool’s chapter of this blog.

Ha! Do it! I might have to broaden the requirements for this section though. I’m finding idiot comments everywhere…I might not be able to stop with just newspaper responses.
FYI, I’ve become a crusader of sorts now. I now regularly read the online version of the Eagle and comment on stories. I also love raking idiots over the coals, but in such a thorough and civilized manner that it avoids my comment being tagged as abuse (well, all but one). I won’t say what name I use, but if you really want to know just ask me by e-mail.
